Good evening guys,

Perchance has anyone ever heard anything about one of these toyota crown hybrid thingys?

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MODERN-CLASSIC-RETRO-JAPANESE-TOYOTA-CROWN-2-0-SUPER-DX-MILD-HYBRID-ELECTRIC/352540802147?hash=item521511bc63:g:tsAAAOSwlMFZKV05:rk:3:pf:0

To be honest I never have not online or speaking to anyone about cars has this model ever come up.

I can't find anything out using google although I am still looking.

After a long love affair with a ls430 she betrayed me, so I bought a low mileage (for me) Gs300 which is ok to drive as it's easier to get around the tight twisty roads than the ls430

the problem is with the gs it is just not big enough in the back for my family , so while I was looking for a new to me LS I somehow thanks to the google wormhole came across this crown,

and as I am always (stupid) up for a new adventure thought it might be worth a shot.

What do you think?

Thanks for reading and helping, feel free to tell me not to buy it as I seem to have no one at home tonight telling me its a silly idea.

I mean I was always promising myself to buy a Celsior then throw some BC racing shocks on the moment i got it surely that seems a better idea anyways I will stop waffling on

I think you'll possibly struggle to get parts for a Crown, not so with a Celsior.

I agree the parts will be an issue here but are available from jap importers at a price ,looks very retro and a bit style dated I would stick with a Celsior  if you are keen on the LS range but good example's will fetch a premium.

Link doesn't work for me but if it's this one I'd bite their hand off

Definitely not that one, although when we've discussed over the years the disappointment that Lexus didn't make an LS estate, that's pretty close.

I remember aeons ago ( maybe 10 / 15 years ) we had a Toyota Camry 3.0 ltr estate on our forecourt for sale  ,,,,,,,,,  fantastic car at that time and probably would be today too

When did you drive one of those Start?

Never had that pleasure, just the design makes me think of the Zil.  Seeing vu-tube vids of Russian calamitous driving don't think I'd be brave enough to drive on their roads.

Excuse me, I now have to gouge my eyes out!! <LOL>
Looks like the love child of a late 70's American car designer and a cut and shut specialist!!

Pop your eyes back in for a moment.  Which one offends you, the estate or the very 70/80's saloon?
