ISF Wheel colour

Recommended Posts

(Sorry I know this has been round before but don't think ever concluded)

Im having my wheels refurbed as it’s the only thing that needed a freshen up since I bought my ISF a couple months ago. (apart from my driving that is) and I have 2 issues to solve in my head if anyone wants to help.

1.      The colour Lexus intended or something else?

My ISF is White and I like the Dark Silver Metallic they are now, but I’m tempted by Black.  Anyone got a White ISF with Black Wheels or any other non original colour for that matter to share photo's ?

2.      Dark Silver Metallic

I have read all I can on here and elsewhere to find the code 11GY39 isn’t a paint code, BBS won’t divulge a paint code, the Toyota paint code mentioned at times (1E3) is a body colour not a wheel paint code, BMW ferric Grey is too light, and never seen anything that nails the colour to a code I can talk to the refurb company about.  So is there anyone out there that feels they have found a good match.  Im sure somebody out there has something.  Ultimately they can match what I have but I like to be prepared.

The BBS wheel colour is quite hard to match as it’s apparently made up of 2 colours. Thankfully I didn’t need to do this while I owned my ISF.

The following is the paint info I made a note of from the various discussions on this forum so I hope it helps.

ISF Wheel paint codes:

Dark silver metallic (11GY39)

Silver (11GY38) buffed finish

Toyota touch up kit?

Gray Mica Met 1E2

PZ449-W1E30-09

PD05/10. ED05/12

Maybe bronze? bronze on white does look nice and would be a bit different from the norm. Tbh im not a massive fan of black wheels as you lose the definition of what the wheels look like. They do look good if you go full black on black though.

Thanks for that @DAW it all adds to the conversation with the wheel specialists if I try and keep it standard.

@paul99 I get your point about losing the definition of the wheels if black and that would be terrible with such sculptured work of art.  I'm liking bronze though.  Mind you I would need a couple of brave pills to have them done that colour.

Im surprised its this hard to establish the actual colour to keep the stock colour though.

Couldn’t agree more - I know from the Lexus dealers that they often have to send them away to specialists.

There have been quite a few members who have chosen a more available colour & got all the wheels done to solve the issue.  It may prove easier to do the same, but hope you get it sorted whatever you decide.

These colour codes are correct. They aren't normal Toyota paint codes though, they are probably BBS Japan OEM colour codes and touch-ups aren't available.

I think they would look great in BMW smoke chrome, the wheels on my M5 were that colour, they are not actually chrome but a super shiny anthracite and as they get dirty they just look regular anthracite, an absolute joy to live with!!!

Mine have been done in that colour...

Looks good IMO but obviously not biased at all 😉

I am aware the wheel is on the wrong way in last pic.  This was soon dealt with.  Oh and the car was filthy in the last pic.  The wheels had been done that day on a dirty December back in 2017 🙂

Think they use Pristine wheels in Milton Keynes, who also sell sets on eBay.

They do match the colour correctly.
