RX450h SE-L 2010 side camera query

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Hoping someone can help on here.....

Have just purchased RX450h SE-L (2010) which so far seems great.

It has the side camera (under the passenger wing mirror)

It has been set so that as soon when the car is slowing down it comes on.  I am finding this a little annoying, but cannot work out how cancel this setting and put it back to the standard setting.  I don't have the original manual and have been trawling through one on-line, but not having much luck finding it.

Thanks

This is from the USA market Lexus press release:

The available wide-view side camera and back-up camera each help provide the driver with a wider range of visibility when driving at low speeds. The driver can check hard-to-view areas by simply pressing the camera-select button on the steering wheel or, when in reverse, viewing the camera images on the navigation screen. An optional back-up camera displays images on the eight-inch navigation screen; systems without navigation have an optional 2.5-inch display in the rear-view mirror.

Do you have the camera select button on the s/w? Is the button working correctly?

Section 10 of this USA market handbook explains use and operation of the side camera:

Suspect you might need to press the operation button on the wheel, or check the button works..

good luck and let us know how you get on?

Yep, as above, if you press the camera select button on the wheel then use the mousepad (?) to click the auto button, this will stop happening. You will however always be able to use the steering wheel button (2 squares, bottom left) to turn it on if you ever need it.
