Recall letters out for the eCall system. The set up and activation was not included in the PDI on some early deliveries. The letter suggests that it can be done over the phone by talking you through, apparently this is not the case, it has to go to the dealers. 15 minutes is all it takes.

Does not surprise me - I talked to the dealer about this shortly after delivery and they - or at least the guy I was dealing with - did not have a clue what I was talking about!

I did not either, but just read about it. I did not realise it was made mandatory in all new cars sold within the EU from April 2018. I guess a requirement that may disappear when/if the UK leaves the EU.

Mine done Thursday. All ok, it was on and active so no issues. Mine was on the first boat to arrive. It is now on the PDI check so maybe they are all ok just not checked.

I doubt it as it has already been stated the UK will follow the EU regs irrespective.
