4 years in to ownership, just did a quick check on the car before my wife sets out on a long trip. At 26k still on original tyres with 3mm tread left, never had to add any oil (no difference today), even windscreen wash barely needed topping up!!

Best thing about the IS, rock solid Toyota reliability, car feels like it'll run for another 40 years with barely any maintenance/repair. Makes BMW/Mercedes/Audi/Tesla all look like kit cars built by amateurs.

A brilliant car and after more than 2 years ownership I can't fault the rock solid reliability. This begs the question. Why not sell the car with a 5 year Toyota Warranty instead of a 3 year Lexus Warranty?

I love the look of the car, all my customers compliment it and say how different it looks from many other cars out there.

I like the way it handles, my drive home is across Dartmoor and rain or shine I have the confidence to throw it about a bit.

The economy, nothing comes close to it.

The features, mines only the SE spec but is so well specced for the money when compared to German counterparts.

What I don't like.......Lexus, I find them difficult to deal with and frustrating and as a result this will most likely be my first and last Lexus sadly

The IS is a brilliant car, for all the reasons given here! As for the dealership experience, it varies greatly. My local lexus Cambridge are brilliant, and can't really fault their service, great every time and they always seem to try and do everything they can to make you happy. However, I've dealt with two other dealerships, Hatfield and Edgware Road. Hatfield were not friendly and seemed lacking in knowledge of the cars. Edgware Road are so so, but seemingly not very interested in post sale problems, felt like after the sale they just want to wash their hands with you, so I would avoid Edgware Road, Cambridge is the best by far from my experience.
