Ls400 Cut Out

WOW - great forum - wished i'd found it months ago!

A few months ago as I was driving home in my LS400. The car acted as though it had run out of fuel. elt sluggish, then stalled, started again for a few seconds and cut out. Luckily it was a couple of hundred yards from home so it coasted on to the driveway (although steering and stopping without power was scarey!).

The car woldn't start agin and although it was low on fuel, it wasn't out. I put an emergency can of fuel in just in case the gauge was faulty but no luck. When I switch the ignition on, there is no sound when I think i usually hear the fuel pump. Any ideas? Is there a fuse or something I could check?

Check the contact leads on the fuel pump?
