Rx400h MOT advisories.

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

I'm looking to purchase a 2006 Rx400h SE, ive checked the mot history and its had the following advisories for a couple  of years.

Anyone

  • slight wear to rear D rubbers
  • both front wishbone back bushes starting to perish slightly

Anyone tell me how difficult/ expensive these would be to repair.

Thanks in advance.

I've never heard of a "D" rubber, if that refers to anti roll bar bushes then on most cars it's cheap and easy to fix, but an RX owner will hopefully give you the correct info.

I've never heard of a D Rubber either and I had an RX300 before my current RX450h.

I'm guessing ARB bush as they are a bit D shaped?

ARB bushes was my guess as well so pretty easy.

Any idea about the front wishbone bushes. It would be good to know if they can be replaced or whether new wishbones have to be purchased.

I can't comment on the RX but I had them replaced on my Celsior, the old ones pressed out and vice versa.  The new bushes were about £25 for the pair, and labour as I recall about £75, but it's a different vehicle.
