Hello All

I am the proud owner of an IS220d, 2010. It has done 150000 miles, and served me well. Bought it SH at 85000 miles, and the engine needed a top end rebuild. Got a warranty through my Lexus dealer, although the car had not been serviced by a main dealer. Engine replaced through Lexus UK. Had two EGR issues early on which were fixed under the warranty,  but other than this, I am very pleased with the car. I can see from other postings that owners don't rate the car and prefer the petrol version. However, it is what it is, and I like it.

I have two problems I would like some help or advice with.

1. The car has a standard stereo, is not Mark Levinson. The rear parcel shelf woofer is blowing. Lexus are asking crazy money for an OE replacement. I have been advised that it may be more than just the speaker, some models have additional electronics with them. I am happy with the system when it works well, so would be looking for a like for like cost effective solution. Any advice, or pointers to a good Car hi-fi dealer in the East Midlands?

2. The gear gaiter has dropped. I thought it would just be some replacement clips. Lexus tell me that I have to buy the whole trim housing. Any advice or workarounds anyone?

Thank you for looking. Ant advice or support appreciated
