Hi Is there a simple fix for a cup holder that is not working on my SC430 please, does not want to move when pressed?

A new replacement from Lexus/Toyota is £157, is there a simple fix, when pulled up the assembly is joined together, I prised it apart and sprayed WD40 onto all the moving parts I could see, but it refuses to move after pushing it back into its resting position!
