Hi just saying I’m a new Lexus owner, a black on black CT200H 2016. And I am open to tips and suggestions, would like to make the car a little faster if possible, but not too sure what I can and can’t do with hybrid engine and cvt transmission. Otherwise a beautiful car well built .

Hi Nathaniel. Welcome to LOC.

Realistically there is little or nothing you can do to make the car faster apart from removing anything you can to make the car lighter. The engine being an Atkinson cycle engine has very little bottom end torque, and relies on the electric motor to compensate for this. Although the theoretical compression rate is around 13/1 the inlet valves are held open at the bottom of the compression stroke to give a compression of about 9/1, and part of the intake gasses are pushed back into the manifold.
The power stroke is normal so in effect the engine has a short intake stroke and a long power stroke.

John.
