IS300H Water ingress in boot?

Recommended Posts

I have recently noticed water running out of the plastic covers on the boot arms when I open the boot, I contacted my local Lexus dealer who want £144 for a 45 minute inspection to try and find the leak. Anybody got any suggestions have googled without success?

If it helps, I had the same on my 300h and the dealer eventually refitted the rear window as there were reports of a batch of cars that were not fully sealed, same year as yours, and that did fix it.

Hi, how did u manage to get the dealer to replace your rear seal ? I checked mine and it appears that the water is leaking in from the top right hand corner. I've contacted my main dealer here in ireland and they said they have never heard of the issue before. Thanks

There was a previous thread on here not long ago about leaking rear windows with various fixes. Seems the rear screen seal gets a small leak in it. One fix I suggested and someone tried was Captain Tolley's creaping crack cure

It can be bought from lots of places on line. I've used it on yachts to fix some pesky water leaks.

Brilliant thanks, I'll try that if I don't have any luck with the main dealer.
