Not tearing my hair out - just confused as mine connects without any issues.

does your phone display the blue banner across the top at any point when the car is trying to connect?

have you put your Lexus portal username/password into the settings in the car (no idea if these are even needed for street view to work but I know mine are entered).

does your phone contract support personal hotspot (also known as tethering)? (majority of contracts do so unlikely to be an issue).

The phone does not at any time display a blue banner

The Lexus portal username/password are installed./ In fact the system has worked at times but only around the house

Will have to check the phone contract

Thanks for sticking with me

Personally I would try removing the phone from the cars settings and remove the car from the phone settings.
I would then start again by re-pairing the phone to the car.

If you have a laptop or other portable device in the house you can check if your personal hotspot works by trying to connect using that (eg connect your laptop WiFi to your Iphone using the password you’ve set). If this works you know your contract allows for tethering.
Remember that sometimes the personal hotspot mode on the Iphone goes to sleep if not used for a while, which is why I recommend switching it off and back on again before trying a connection.

I’ve just been out and checked again. With personal hotspot switched off I get the error shown below. When I switch it back on and try street view I get the ‘trying to connect’ graphic like your post earlier for a few seconds then the street view appears.

Hi Phil

Back from Holiday last week and determined to crack the Internet connection issue. To cut a long story short the problem was with my I Phone 6plus not being compatible with the system. We tried with different and later version phones at Lexus and at O2 and both worked using personal hotspot.

Had to purchase new phone and all set up and working now. Have to thank the Matt at O2 in Burton on Trent taking the time to sort it out for me.A tip he gave me was to keep the Hotspot page on the phone open which would prevent dropping out.

This was last Friday and fingers crossed still good to go.

Tony
