Hey Everyone,

Big Lexus fan here and I am new to RX ownership (pick it up tomorrow).

Currently drive an IS and I am collecting a RX tomorrow (as a second car for hauling and dog duties etc). I will let you know how I get on as I haven't even driven an RX before.

I wanted to introduce myself to you all 😄

Hey Thomas, good luck with the RX.

I'm kinda surprised that you haven't had a test drive in it tho, or maybe your other half did that for you ?

What if it does not fit him ?

Wonder where he is buying from ?

Ah well, it will all come out in the wash !

Thanks and the car was blocked in by a few cars so I just thought I would take it. Can't imagine too much being wrong with it, it is coming with a fresh Mot and service 🙂

I bought a 2004 RX300 in November. Have to say it’s been great. You can check the MOT history on line as will give a guide to any potential issues that may / may not need addressing. I last owned an RX between 2007-10 and the only difference bar inevitable ageing, are a couple of squeaks in the interior (can be fixed).

The car still looks great, drives well and even the kids give it their seal of approval despite our other car being a 900bhp Mercedes!

Hope it works our well.

Thanks man, just picked it up today...

Drives really smooth in comparison to the IS!

Not loving the 14mpg though

14 sounds too low.

I would expect 22-24...

I got 17 mpg on a 40 mile trip to Stirling today on the motorway cruising at 60mph. Seems very thirsty overall haha.  I remember when my friend's Range Rover Sport SVR got 15mpg and that is a V8!
