Hello all!

I have a MY 2010 RX450H. Does anyone know what kind of too I need to rewind the rear disk brake calipers please. Haven't started the job yet, just planning ahead!

Thanks.

None needed I believe. The caliper pistons just push back in on the RX along with most other Lexus vehicles. You may need to slacken off the parking brake shoes. This is done with a flat bladed screw driver through a hole "with rubber bung" in the outside face of the drum against a toothed wheel adjuster if you wish to check the parking brake shoes or change the disks.

John.

John,

Get some ProSlip greases https://www.amazon.co.uk/ProSlip-Caliper-Lubricant-Toyota-Mercedes/dp/B07886FP12/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=Proslip&qid=1580559800&sr=8-1. These may be on our site somewhere and be discounted. Also leave keys in the house so you can't accidentally switch on whilst discs are off.

Thanks OldTrout, already got that kit, as I used it on the missus's Astra brakes.

Do you (or anyone else) know the torque settings for the caliper carrier and the caliper slider pins on the 450?

Thanks!
