Hi it started up ok when I connected to another car battery left it running for over an hour and it’s still only holding 11.2 volts

no error messages but it’ll happen again as clearly the battery is not holding a charge

thank you guys

Andrew

If it is the original Battery it might need replacing Andrew, but don`t spend money if you don`t have to, so take it out-weather permitting- for 45 mins each day and watch it swap energy with the Hybrid Battery on the screen

If the weather does not permit, then start it up and sit in the drivers seat for 30/45 mins daily and watch the interchange of energy. You can read the paper,or magazier or the Handbook to pass the time. Do not put the radio/cd on. The engine should switch itself on and off whilst you are sitting there solving all of the problems of our World. Please report back in due course.

Just out of interest, when you disconnected the other Battery and the one in the car was showing 11.2 volts, were you able to start the car (or get it to the Ready state) with just 11.2 volts?

I've often wondered how low the voltage can go and still be enough to start the car.

I was on the same wavelength Williams, which is why I suggested a little project for him!
