LS 430 2005 Wheel Colour for Refurb

Recommended Posts

I bought my LS430 a year ago and the previous owner had had the wheels refurbished.  Unfortunately whoever did it did a particularly poor job as they didn't put a proper primer on and now some of the wheels are flaking.

Does anyone know what the standard colour/finish for a facelift LS 430 was so the refurbishment company can get them as factory fresh as possible?

Any advice appreciated.

Adrian

The question you ask is very subjective as Lexus do not have a colour code for their wheels and it as always been a bind matching the old paint finish

A specialist wheel refurbishment outfit will have a stock of silver paint that they reckon matches a particular brand and work with that.

As yours have been done already the only chance you have is using your spare as a match because the spare is not usually refurbed if it as you will have to ask the paint shop to use their best knowledge.

When you get them refurbished, get the spare done as well.
My spare doesn't match the others and looks awful enough that I put it back in the boot as soon as the punctured tyre is repaired/replaced.

You're lucky to have one, I've only got a space saver!

Mint alloys used to do work for Lexus - and they used call the colour Sterling Silver

I think it was the perfect finish/colour - a bright metallic silver with a nice glossy sheen to it - I regret not buying a set - last time I rang them they said they were ceasing to trade
