Rear window access

Fusspot

Recommended Posts

I cleaned my Lexus today, including the rear window which was showing signs of traffic film on the inside. Really difficult, even with the rear head rests removed, due to the restricted access.

Do members have any suggestions as to how to clean the rear window effectively, right to the bottom? What products, tools and techniques do you use?

Go to Poundland and look in the car bits section. They have an 18 inch long rod with a hinged microfibre pad on the end. Just spray the pad with windscreen cleaner and off you go.

I got one to clean both the front and back screens on my LC as these are pretty impossible to get at.

PS. I'm a fusspot too (about car cleaning).

PPS. My other half has just said it might have been Aldi.

I can confirm that it is Poundland. Please see the photo below. I have splashed out a whole pound and purchased another one to use as a polisher after application of the windscreen cleaner using the original item.

Spotted them in Aldi too. Was in the other day to pick up one of their 12v oil pumps
