Hi guys,

Is it just plug and play with these kits?

Was thinking about going with this... https://www.hids4u.co.uk/hb4-hids4u-stealth-x-35w-high-brightness-xenon-hid-conversion-kit.html

If this won't fit then perhaps just some brighter bulbs like these: https://www.halfords.com/motoring/bulbs/hb4-9006-car-headlight-bulb-halfords-advanced-up-to-plus100-percent-brighter-single-pack-719520.html

Also found some LED ones: https://www.hids4u.co.uk/HB4-Twenty20-Impact-LED-12V-Headlight-Bulbs-Pair.html

Do the HID or LED kits require much extra modification or fabrication?

Lost on the subject to be honest, any help or direction would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't know whether they are plug n play with your car. But that website is on the expensive side, eBay is much cheaper. Get 55w ballast 5000k temp bulb is what I would recommend.

To start with have you got headlight washers?if not the HID's are a no go if retro fitted as they will fail mot.Yes they are generally plug and play and should come with all the necessary wiring and connectors

If the headlamp units weren't designed (and therefore type approved) for HID or LED then the car will fail the MoT

If you replace the complete headlamp unit for HID or LED units then you will also have to retrofit auto-levelling and headlamp wash systems.

Best and only cheap legal option, is to fit upgraded bulbs the like of Osram Nightbreakers

I've found two different ones, but what seems like the better one, is cheaper:

AND

Am I missing something?
