Remote Keyfob not working, after battery change

Hi,

 

I have just changed the Battery in the remote fob for my 2013 RX 450h and now nothing works? Please help.

Fiddly things, check the polarity, perhaps turning Battery around? Not being patronising, just seems an easy oversight. Hope that's all it is, can't imagine anything worse.

Was there a procedure in the Handbook and did you follow it to the letter ?

There's no specific procedure John, it simply shows where the screws are and what to take apart; certainly nothing that could affect the electronics or the key-car communication.

I'll hazard a guess that it's either a duff Battery, reverse polarity, or just not making good contact where it should.

Thanks Herbie.I was surmising that the operation had to be completed within say, x seconds or all saved information would be lost.
