There's no specific procedure John, it simply shows where the screws are and what to take apart; certainly nothing that could affect the electronics or the key-car communication.

I'll hazard a guess that it's either a duff Battery, reverse polarity, or just not making good contact where it should.

Thanks Herbie.I was surmising that the operation had to be completed within say, x seconds or all saved information would be lost.
