Recommended body repairs, Nottingham

My car needs a new rear quarter panel and bumper.. It's an insurance job through NFU.  They are happy for me to use a repairer of my choice; I've been to Inchcape Lexus Nottingham and they have provided a quote but they are not an NFU approved repairer.  NFU also arranged for a repairer on their approved list (Impact) to assess the damage and provide a quote.

Does anyone have any experience of Inchcape and/or Impact.  I've seen some positive comments on the forums about CJ Bull and GB Flint, would they be better than Inchcape or Impact.  Are there any other body repairers that people would recommend?  Any help and advice would be really useful

Hi we have used the inchcape group for our Ct200h and they are very good. We had an insurance job as well and asked Churchill if I can use inchcape. They said an estimator had to come and view the car but due to the covid19 outbreak it was a video call to show them the damage. What we had done was the following:

1. Informed Churchill that our car got vandalised and provided a crime reference number.

2. Asked if we can inchcape and they said yes.

3. Went to inchcape and ask them for a quote etc, whilst there talked to Churchill with inchcape estimator and they said yes that’s fine.

4. Waited for Churchill estimator for a video and estimator and inchcape spoke and approved of body work.

i hope this helps

Furthermore I would go to Inchcape rather than a third party as they know how to repair a Lexus as lexus have a special paint job as I wanted to go to Toyota Bodyshop and they said no, as Lexus have a special coat of paint and warranty will be valid. as sometimes 3rd parties don’t do a good job and we have had experiences of this.

Thanks both.  Must admit I'm favouring Inchcape but can't find any reviews for their body shop so any info from the forum is very useful

Just use Inchcape. I have used Lexus inchcape Nottingham and inchcape Lexus leicester and they have been wonderful. Just remember that if anything goes wrong you’re still covered by Lexus and the repair. You can’t beat going to the dealership to get the Bodywork sorted out compared to a third party.

Thanks Fahad. Inchcape it is:-).  It's the fact that they are a Lexus dealer that sways me; I assume their body shop technicians attend specialist Lexus training and I know they'll use Lexus parts and that  when the Battery is reconnected they'll have all the tech to set everything back up again. thanks once again.
