Got round to looking for the jack today and found it in the boot well.

I also found a blue electric connector which is a mystery?

I changed the Satnav DVD last week using 2 tiny screwdrivers but today discovered the tools for the job in the boot tool kit.

It is the sensor/oscillator for the smart entry system. Lets you unlock the boot if within range and also won't allow the car to lock if it senses the key is inside the boot.

Thanks for that. Mine isn't working. I managed to lock myself out with the keys inside a few weeks ago.

Now I know what to look at. 

Any idea if this is the only one or another for the cabin?

There are 6 of them altogether. I was incorrect above, that sensor is just for keys left in the boot, there is another one to detect the key outside the boot. Here is a system diagram which shows them all:
