My GS remote locking has gone faulty.

The doors do lock and unlock with the key remote. However when I keep my finger on either button, all door locks click continually at intervals of 1 second or so.

What should happen is that an open window or sunroof should close on keeping my finger on the close button, or all should open on constant press of the open button.

Have tried the obvious of exercising all windows and sunroof, also trying the spare key. All to no avail. There are no reset instructions in the handbook.

Any boffin got any ideas?

I suspect a problem with the remote transmitter. Maybe the Battery is starting to go, or the contacts for the buttons are dirty. Try really mashing the buttons and keep an eye on the key's LED. The GS300MK2 doors will try and relock once if the car detects that one or more of them did not lock on the first try. Double check all your doors are locking as I've had to have 2 door lock motors replaced on mine due to them not working properly.
