Good morning. Can I ask where is a good place to get the rear cover for the wing mirror, unfortunately it was been hit by another car. It has a crack in the back. The car is a 14 plate and in black opal 214.

You have 3 choices.

This is for the colour coded casing and mirror glass only

A new replacement from a UK Lexus dealer, you could try our resident one “Lexus Parts Direct” who usually give a discount where possible. Part number for your colour and LHS is 8794A- 76030-C1, glass is 87961-30D80

Amayama have them in stock at £47.24 and £186.17 respectively.

Found this for the complete casing

Or the cheapest option if you can find one in the correct colour will be from a breaker, there are a few on eBay but they never give the colour codes.

I don’t know of a specific guide or whether you can replace the casing without first taking the complete mirror off the car.

The glass normally pulls off the clips at the bottom and is then lifted up to disengage to 2 top hooks. Once the glass is removed you can then get to the internals.

Fully appreciate your assistance, can I just ask one other question. On the eBay item for the genuine housing when it asks if it fits your vehicle, as soon as I click on ZWA10 it states this will not fit?

All mirror covers are the same from 2011>>
Obviously except for colour.
I’ve taken my N/S mirror apart before.
Use a trim removal tool to lever the mirror glass out. Behind there is 4 or 5 screws (sorry can’t remember)which releases the rear cover and surround.
When refitting the glass push it back into place in the centre until you hear it click.
