Unsticking interior trim ideas??

Recommended Posts

My cup holders and bomb drop doors (as my son calls them!) are rather sticky.

What's the best way to free them up without blowing the car up? Maybe overly dramatic but I have a knack of making things worse!

Sticky because the plastic is deteriorating or sticky because they're mucky? If they're just mucky a damp cloth will do it. Maybe with a spray of some sort of interior shampoo/cleaner. Certainly nothing more harsh than that.

You can try a dilute fabric conditioner solution in water ,or furniture polish .Or if your making a crazy u tube  vid a high pressure jet wash would be entertaining 😏

yes - silicone spray tend to make things very smooth - but keep it away from steering.

Also I think most dash shine sprays will do the same - I have a very cheap one and whenever I use it - it makes the dash smooth
