Tank Average changes/ resets every time you top up/fill up

You may see it say 46mpg briefly.

Real world it be anywhere from 29 - 34mpg...... dependent on how you drive of course.

On long motorway runs I've seen it steady at 38mpg. As soon as you are back in town/short runs it will drop right back.

How does it know you have filled up? Is there something in the tank?

Yes, the float that operates the fuel gauge. If a large enough change in the fuel level occurs it triggers a fill up - I think you need to add about 10 litres for it to trigger.

You do need to drive like ‘Miss Daisy’ to get those numbers up though and not use the PWR switch....”Must....Resist”
