Sat nav update on LS430

What is it you need to know?  As far as I'm aware the only update is a newer disc which will still be very poor compared to a stand alone system.

Yup, mine has the 2016 disk which is I believe the most recent for the LS430, and it still looks like it was designed with crayons in the 1990s.
I use a TomTom that sits on top of the dash to the right of the instrument binnacle.

Occasionally, when bored, I will have a competition and set the same destination on both systems and see which I prefer.
The Lexus system does like to suggest some strange routes sometimes.

2017/18 is the latest one I can find (and have myself) and obviously its already a bit out of date - bear in mind this system is as old as our cars so it will never be as good as newer systems or stand-alone ones, although the fact I could get a fairly recent disk for it shows how forward thinking Lexus were.  I only use the onboard for a rough guide, I prefer to use my mobile and Waze or even Google maps.

It is a poor system Garmin or Tom tom knock spots off it. It works best I find on the 'take me home' button.
