Long shot, but I'm in the middle of tidying up the rear suspension on my LS460, and managed to shear the %£@%!! bolt from the actual sensor. I've tried to open the thing up to investigate but it seems well and truly sealed. Has anyone / does anyone know how to service these? blinking' expensive to replace. Video here. (Just for fun I started uploading videos to me YouTube channel at the weekend with zero effort put into the script / editing, as you'll see 😉

It will be interesting to see what's inside. I suspect it will be a simple variable resistor but may use some other method and may contain some electronics.
No idea how to get into it apart from using a hacksaw. Chances are it was glued together with forever-glue and will never come apart without brute force.
Chances are it's not user serviceable but if you find a way, do share
