rx300 - rx330

can anyone advise me, is the timing belt and kit for a 2004 rx330 the same as the belt for a 2004 rx300?

I have a 2005 rx300 and the kit for that from rock auto was for an rx 330 the only difference I could work out between earlier rx 300 and later rx 300 was the tensioner. I did a lot of research cross checking part numbers on Gates and other websites before buying though.

Am after a cambelt kit for my 2004 rx300 could you let me know which kit you went for from rock auto.

I went for the rx330 kit the tensioner is different after 2003 but I did a bit of research first by going to gates website and trying to find the part numbers for my car also parts are listed on eBay etc on rockauto site usually there are cross references for original manufacturer part numbers if you have a 2003 model year registered in 2004 there may be a problem I was confident as my car is 2005. All Lexus did as far as I can work out is make the same engine but bored out for the USA the rest of the UK car is the same as the RX330 including handbrake cables as I have bought them from Rock auto also. Thank you the car was registered 18/08/2004 how would i find out if its a 2005 model.

If you give the VIN number to a Lexus dealer they should be able to help you.
