Surface rust under car.

Hi guys, 

on my IS 250 it’s a 2009 convertible I have noted some surface rust on the under side of the car, the paint work is perfect and it’s been bought from Lexus 2 months ago, they told me it nothing to concern my self about, and avised using a product call Dynax by Blit hammer, I have a chap wire brushing it next week and applying it completely underneath the car.

anyone have this problem I have a 1992 SL Mercedes which has no sign of rust! Lexus did say that it’s very common on the IS but nothing major!

My 07 plate had under surface rust badly accordingly the local dealer when it went in for a recall 3 years ago, which worried me a lot. 

My local indy where I get it serviced looked at it and said there is nothing to worry about and it's normal for the age. Never had a problem so far....

That Dynax is good stuff - used it on my car recently.  Nice coverage and seems to give a good barrier on the underside 🙂
