Wind Deflectors

I'm still looking for a soarer. Found some nice models, but they come with wind deflectors. They probably work fine, but I think they're really ugly. Does someone know if you can remove them without exposing some kind of holes or anything?

If you're talking about the sunroof wind deflector, these are held on with four clips that hook inside the lip of the sunroof aperture, so there's no holes (that's the good news). Removing it is simply a case of undoing the screws on the four clips and lifting the deflector off.

The bad news - dirt can get between the roof and the rubber on the bottom of the deflector. Over time as the deflector moves very slightly this dirt has an abrasive effect on the paint. If the deflector hasn't been removed and cleaned regularly, the paint on the roof can get damaged. Obviously this isn't apparent unless you remove the deflector and have a look.

Hi Michiel. Good to see you are still looking!

I've just bought a new one and that has wind deflectors. I have looked at the window ones and they are just stuck on, so will peel off.

The offer is still there if you want me to look at some with you.
