Hi guys

I’ve read in another post about the CT200 Alarm going off at night.

Mine went off 4 times last night & 3 times the night before.

No interference around the car checked cctv cameras.

Has anyone figured out how to solve this issues.

Cheers.

Just realised that what you mean by theft sensors are the lnternal movement sensors which are controlled by the switch by the front interior light.

Correct mate

I thought I’d switch the sensor off & see if the alarm keeps sounding.

I tried it one night off & last night switched it back on the alarm was ok it didn’t go off through the night.

I don't think it happens as much with the more modern alarms, but it used to be the case that some alarms

could be triggered by radio transmissions. When I was working and had a transceiver in my van, if I were

transmitting on 70cms (about 440Mhz) it could set off some car alarms.  Discoveries used to be particularly

susceptible.

  • 3 weeks later...

When my previous Auris did this, i started checking the door switches with a multimeter for good continuity. Found a dodgy one on the driver's door but the main problem was a faulty micro switch on the bonnet release mechanism that I believe was randomly operating the alarm.

Not sure if the CT has a similar bonnet release or a separate switch some where for the bonnet but worth a check.
