Hi, is it possible to have flash advertising, if so could we interest companies like TDi,TTE, TRD to advertise here and negotiate some discount. Also is there a way for us to buy from the states via Europe to avoid the british customs so we dont get stung with excise duty?

I was wondering how to get round that.. does it only apply on certain goods? i.e Electronic, games, music etc? What about if i ordered a new steering wheel.. would i have to pay duty on that?

import duty is payable on all but TAX FREE and GIFTS,i being where i am ,in the job im doing,can get stuff ,tax free;) as for advertising,im working on somthing with TDI,possily a discount(or maybe some cheaper paid bits on my CAR)LOL

we need more members so we can justify having a good club disount

i am having my streo facia plates sent over... will i have to pay duty on that?

what if I bring them over next time i am in the states?

if you get them to put "gifts" on the envelope/parcel and NO invoice details you should get away withj it

I get stuff sent over from the US on a regular basis, but when I order anything I get it sent to a friends place in the US, she then posts it to me by regular mail after removing the invoice etc and adding "gift" on the customs declaration. Everything has so far been opened by customs but have never had a demand for duty.

so if you know someone in the US thats the way to go also saves you a fortune in the postage!
