UX sat nav I.D.

Hi, 

I have just bought a UX (2019) ex demo. My Lexus info gives me my ID and tells me my sat nav is a 17CY. When I put a search for info on how to use it, it brings it up the nav as a premium model with the 10 inch screen. Mine is a basic 7inch screen, would appreciate if anyone can help me out on this. Have I got the wrong model in my car. 

Love the car, previously had a CT and before that numerous BMW's. Much prefer the Lexus.

I think there is only one Nav manual that covers both systems. Although it seems to be written more for the 10.3" version there should be both 10.3" and 7" sections throughout.

The system is CY17 (also called MM17). 
On the UX this is available in two different screen sizes. 
As Colin says the manual will cover both sizes. The manual for my NX mentions different sizes too. 
 

The standard screen size in the UX is 7 inch. The standard model is only available with this size. The F Sport has the option to have the bigger screen while the Takumi spec comes with the bigger.

Does the Sat Nav need paid updates on a UX or can you connect via Wifi (like in my wife's Nissan) and do auto updates?

WiFi may work if it has the latest software. Otherwise you’ll need to download and activate via the Lexus-tech.Eu site.

A sort of related question

Does Car Play work through Bluetooth or do you need to be connected via USB lead.

Also does Car Play allow you to select which Apps are available on the the car?

Officially CarPlay only works via USB. 
There are 3rd party wireless adapters available. I have one of these and it works really well - https://cplay2air.com

In the CarPlay settings screen on an Iphone you can select which apps appear or don’t appear on your CarPlay system.
