Newbie saying hello

Hi all,

Thought I would introduce myself since I just joined the forum.

I’m now onto my second Lexus, first was a IS300h and now a lovely white ES300h. Found the forum as I was having problems getting the Lexus link to work. Anyway off to do some reading of topics before I start asking silly questions.

Hi Ian, welcome to LOC! How do you like ES? Must be different to IS to drive as ES a front wheel drive!

I loved my IS and wanted to get another but when the dealership said Lexus are dropping it end of this year I was left with buying it at term end or look for something else.

So back in March just before lock down I had a 48 hour test drive of an UX F sport and although nice I wasn’t blown away and when I dropped it off and got back in my IS I knew the IS was better.

fast forward 6 months and the IS is for service and MOT I thought let’s try the ES so their let me go for a spin in one and as soon as I sat inside I knew straight away this is it. Then spent next hour finding varies roads to test it out and was pleasantly surprised so ordered it on my return at the dealership.

only had it for just over a week now, but had to do a 340mile round trip one day last week so 6 hours in the drivers seat including a full days work and felt as fresh when I got there and home again. So it’s totally relaxing cruise machine. Even managed over 60mpg which isn’t too bad for a new motor.
