Select Approved vs not

Hi there

I am considering buying a used NX and browsing the Lexus website I see some cars are ‘Select Approved’.

I was wondering for the buyer, what is the difference between a Select Approved or not? Is there less warranty or it doesn’t come with breakdown cover etc, I can’t seem to find any info on this.

Hi there, yes I did do a search but could not find details on how a non Select Approved car is different to a Select in terms of warranty, breakdown cover etc.

I asked a similar question recently when I was toying with idea of buying a used IS250. The replies were few  and I could find no info at all on the Lexus website.

Both programmes qualify for full 12 month Lexus warranty and options for extended warranties too.

"Lexus Premium used" comes under the criteria where the vehicle is, either, a minimum of 8 years and/or have done over 100,000 miles.

Why Lexus do this, I don't have the answer.
