I just caught my wheel ( 21') the other day, only very slightly but all the same i would like to get it repaired, do you think i can find anyone to fix it, nope, i have tried everywhere, i can't find anyone who will  touch polished alloy wheels, anyone else had a wheel repaired?

Have you tried those companies that restore classic cars. Polishing an alloy wheel won't be too different from polishing classic car chrome?

Your typical wheel refurb outfit just want to acid dip and powder coat. You need a skilled craftsman..

My family have used a really good company, based in Kent called Lepsons.

very well known on the forums and they came to the house and took the wheels, leaving a temp replacement. That probably wont apply to you as I doubt they have an LC spare set.

My sons Porsche wheels looked superb.

Worth a call.

Apparently Lexus Gatwick can't repair them either, they told me there is a place in Milton Keynes that has a machine that can repair them, that's a 200 mile round trip for me, My local dealership has said there have someone who can repair them but he is a nightmare to get hold off, so i will have to just wait and see.

Sorry to be the one with the bad news!

When I damaged my wheel on my RC, I was unable to get anyone to repair it. Everyone said they would be unable match the colour.  In the end just purchased a new alloy.

The Garage did say it could be worst, you could own an LC.

He had just priced an alloy for someone with a LC and it was going to be £1,100 for a new 21" alloy.

Hopefully you will find someone that can repair it.

I don’t know why it’s so difficult to match wheel colours when the can match bodywork colours pretty well, in the past I have had the two wheel’s on the same side of the car done so if there was to be a slight difference in colour it would not stand out so much

although £1100 is a lot of money I am surprised that they are not more

you can get the LC wheel’s repaired, the demo car I had for a while  had quite bad damage to the front near side, when it was repaired it looked pretty good, the problem is when you scuff the wheel you normally remove metal so it’s not so much the finish more the shape of the wheel that can look worse, fortunately mine is quite minor and unless you look very carefully it shouldn’t stand out.

as I said in a previous post it’s just getting hold of the guy to come round, he used to do all the wheel’s at my dealership but a change of management means they now use a different company. So it’s trying to get him to come to me, and when he can be knocking out wheel after wheel at a dealership even offering twice his normal repair fee I am still waiting.

I have a front wheel that is with my local dealer, they have sent it off to a company in Milton Keynes.  I can let you know what it looks like next week when it comes back.

Not sure thats correct.

I have now checked which company refurbed the wheel on my LC last year on behalf of my dealer.I saw the marked wheel before I collected the car and obviously afterwards. The wheel is like new.

The company is Alloy Wheel Refurbishment UK,based in Coventry.

Can speak from experience and I am very fussy.

Their website shows an LC wheel and their Facebook refers to an LC repair with pics.

Might be useful for other owners.

Thanks Nigel, that will be interesting, have you just left you car with them or did they sort you out a replacement wheel while you is off for repair? have they given you any idea of the cost to fit it.

Chris, if you do find somewhere, would you be happy to post some before and after images? I’d be very interested in seeing how well the refurbishment works.

Will do Stuart, I have had this reply from a company in Coventry, it’s just getting the wheel to them

Hi Chris. Many thanks for your enquiry. Yes we do these all the time but we have our own process. These wheels are ball bearing polished and quite difficult and time consuming to do. We have our own process to repair these wheels and from a metre aways cannot tell the difference.  To process them as they are takes around 7 working days and costs approx £600 plus vat per wheel. To proces then with our processes takes 2 to 3 days and costs £150 plus vat. Please let us know how you would like to proceed.. thanks in advance. Regards The AWRUK Team

This is the company I recommended above as they did mine on behalf of the main dealer and at their cost.I was shown the damage when I went to demo the car and was sent pictures after AWR returned the wheel as the dealer was so pleased with the quality.
The wheel looked like a new wheel and I inspect all the wheels every week whilst detailing them.

HI Chris,

The car is sitting in my yard on a axel stand and three wheels as they did not have anything to loan me.  However they have given me a IS300. No idea on cost of repair I will work on that.

I've just come across this forum and this was the first post I looked at.

I've just had two wheels on my LC500h repaired at Lexus, Hatfield, Hertfordshire.

It took two days, I can't see where they've been and it cost £120 per wheel.

I know the repair was not done in house but they have an excellent contact.

Hope this helps

Hello Chris, I have bought and paid for a 2018 LC 500 Sport + from Urban Automotive based in Milton Keynes. The car is showing reserved on their website. I am in Cornwall and they are delivering the car to me. The sales guy I am dealing with found a mark on one of the rear wheels. And Lexus Milton Keynes replaced it under its warranty. When the car was back at Urban, the same sales guy found a slight mark on the other rear wheel. The wheel has been taken off, and was taken to TRS UK, also at Milton Keynes. TRS's post code is MK12 6HS.

The sales guy has told me that TRS will do it as quickly as they can, and was told it should be possibly sorted by the end of next week... because they are very busy...!

The sales guy has a photo of the wheel, and I have asked him to send it to me... When I get the photo I will put it on the Forum... And when the wheel comes back from TRS, the sales guy will take a photo and send it to me... and I will also put the photo on the Forum...

I have never dealt with Urban, or seen the car... I think when they finally deliver the car, it will look great...!!!

They have also bought my Taycan 4S... So I am changing from a very quiet car to a very noisy car...!
