2009 IS 250c I wing mirrors don’t tilt in reverse

According to my Handbook regarding 'mirror tilt when in reverse' on p44 it states "the function will not operate when the mirror select switch is in the neutral position (ie. between L and R)" ... and my model doesn't seem to have an 'auto-fold' function either.

Interestingly, going back to this tilting-when-in-reverse business, I've just noticed on mine that the offside mirror tilts but the nearside doesn't?!?

Another puzzle to be solved ... 🤔

I had problems with my mirrors not moving for reversing (or, more specifically, not moving enough) on one mirror and then the other.

This excellent guide is probably a good place to start:

In my case, luckily I had an extended warranty, so a pair of new wing mirrors solved the problem.
