I was considoring going on a bike test, but after my year on a 50cc hairdryer when i was 16, i'll never get on another bike again! The majority of road users are 'safe', but there are a few that made my hairs stand on end, and on occasions, my bike too!

well just sat through the 8 pages so far and thought I would give my perspective.

Question to you then Donna. Do you have any interest in Lexus cars etc?

This forum was set up to talk about Lexus and all things surrounding it. Even the additional forums spill out from that. One thing it is NOT (as far as I am aware) is a general CHAT forum for you and your mates (whoever they are) to have conversations on. That uses up our precious bandwidth which is funded by the commitee and our GOLD fees.

If you want to chat to your mates I suggest you find other ways to do so.

For all the doctors that you can find that are incompetant, I can name you 10's that are not. Your small experiences with the medical profession may have harmed your view on the medical world, but for the sane amoungsth us it hasn't. I have had good an bad experiences and I think thats the same across many professions. Do you never use a plumber, builder, electrician etc etc.

It is fair enough that we should all be allowed to express our views here, but I think that you have gone further than this.

When you have constructive things to say, I am sure people will want to listen. Until then I suggest you listen to what the 99% of people on this thread have told you already, and calm down before posting more inate rubbish.

I think everyone is entitled to an opinion, but sometimes you have to have a long hard think about what is likely to cause offence. If you're talking about personal experiences rather than tarnishing everyone in that mould then fair enough - but this thread seems more inflammatory than informed!

Personally, I owe the medical profession a lot. Without it, my pre-cancerous cells could have/would have turned into the big 'C' and also, it's unlikely I'd have had a family.

Are there failings in the medical profession? Yes, at times. My dad suffers a crippling, debilitating bone disability that should have been picked up 20 years before it was diagnosed and by then it was too late to do anything to slow down the damage. It's robbed me of my youthful, active father and my son of the activities a grandad normally engages in. But guess what, that's life. Doctors aren't *** and diseases don't always play by the book and aren't always easy to pick up. We could be bitter and some days we are, but life has a lot to offer and you either choose to be a victim or you're dragged kicking and screaming to the grave. I know which way I want to go and if medical intervention helps me achieve that, then Hallelujah and thank the good Lord!!!

Doctors and nurses were very good at stitching my toes back after a fully laden forklift truck with 2 tonne crate on it plus the tonnage of the fork lift truck... was painfull but they did a very good job.

Also saved my borther life too after his appendix burst and nearly killed him after all the poison got into his blood stream

Oh yeah.. my grandfather was given 2 years to live with cancer and only had 50% chance suviving on the operating table... He has had the operation and lived and now can live his life to its full potential

I do however understand how some (note some) GP's can be bad... it took 3 Doctors to come to a conclusion why i lost all feeling and operation to one side of my face for 4 months... only to find out some steriods would have cleared the problem in no time... I endured agony, and emotional stress due to a temporary disfigurement which i thought would stay for the rest of my life. I moved doctors as they could not give a damn half the time.

But my new GP is much better!

Bloody nora..........one word PROLIX (look it up)

I could feel myself aging reading that lot

Doctors GOOD.............

I give Blood and am happy to do so, and yes the needles they use are clean.

All the leap year days wouldnt help as they are only counted from the year 1600 and apply every 4th year except when the year is a 00 (1800,1900,2100 etc) but if the 00 year is divisible by 400 then it is a leap year.

Global warming...all for it in the short term, this country could use a little more warmth (in more ways than 1)

AND.......Im still waiting for my mouse mat ....steve :) ?

Ah, at last, I've finished!

I definatley agree with the majority on this one!

DM did admit to not owning a Lex several pages back, I don't have the time or inclination right now to find it to quote it!

Gold member or not, I believe this site is for Lexus owners, or people researching into buying Lexus'. Too much time and money goes into this site for it to be used by others in this way.

Once again, just my opinion.

Wow just managed to finish reading this thread.

And it was better than some of the others ones that used to appear on other websites I used to frequent.

One word, Troll. In an internet sense of course. Look it up and you will see what I mean.

My wife works long hard hours in the local hospital as a specialist nurse and when I read threads like this, full of assfacts (facts blown out of someones ****) I am astounded that they can put the Sun/Star/Sport/News of the World down for long enough to type such messages. I have total respect for the medical profession as a whole and have used their skills and expertise only a few times (as I have luckilly been quite healthy so far). I am astounded that someone seen so much bad doctoring and then states there are no records, when it isnt only the doctor who holds records of what is prescribed to a patient. There is quite a simple paper trail to follow if needed. GP's arent the only person in this chain and as such cannot destroy ALL the evidence of 25 years of misprescribing.

I myself dont read The Sun and would appreciate that you dont spout tabloid rubbish thinly disguised as facts as you will only come a cropper in the end.

Oh and incase anyone was wondering taken from here Internet Trolls :

"An Internet "troll" is a person who delights in sowing discord on the Internet. He (and it is usually he) tries to start arguments and upset people.

Trolls see Internet communications services as convenient venues for their bizarre game. For some reason, they don't "get" that they are hurting real people. To them, other Internet users are not quite human but are a kind of digital abstraction. As a result, they feel no sorrow whatsoever for the pain they inflict. Indeed, the greater the suffering they cause, the greater their 'achievement' (as they see it). At the moment, the relative anonymity of the net allows trolls to flourish.

Trolls are utterly impervious to criticism (constructive or otherwise). You cannot negotiate with them; you cannot cause them to feel shame or compassion; you cannot reason with them. They cannot be made to feel remorse. For some reason, trolls do not feel they are bound by the rules of courtesy or social responsibility.

Perhaps this sounds inconceivable. You may think, "Surely there is something I can write that will change them." But a true troll can not be changed by mere words."

sorry, I meant this site is exactly for the people you mention Stevebish, people who own or have an interest in Lexus cars etc.

Not for people to chat away to their mates all day long and hijack the site with rubbish.

It wouldn't be so bad if you just used the site to chat to Chris and quietly got on with that - either in the chatroom section etc. But by posting things that are easily gonna wind up and upset people is just not on.

I think that from the selection of posts above, you can tell that.
