IS250 2014 weird sound after turning engine off

Recommended Posts

Hi fellow members,

I have a IS 250 2014 and there is some weird sound coming out of the dash/radio I guess - quite annoying, I must admit. I don't know how to described it so I uploaded a video with the hope you can help me out with this.

There are basically two perceived sounds in this video: the first is the electric seat moving towards the easy entry/exit mode so just ignore it. The second one is what I'm trying to figure out. Starts at 00:03 up to 00:04. It is unrelated to the seat since it also intermittently happening when seat is not moving.

Ideas?

Cheers,

Leo

Hi @200h

Thanks for your reply, this is exactly what is happening and above all I'm able to reproduce it easier now 😄. Would you have by chance the invoice of the repair? I'm interested on parts you need for this..

Cheers,

Leo

Mine does that too!

Never saw it as a problem though; in my case, I just categorised it as "one of those sounds that modern cars make getting their gubbins aligned". My car is well out of warranty, so I guess I'll just have to continue enjoying it.

Does anyone know if this causes a problem (other than acoustic)?

Mine does it too - 64 reg with 94k miles - been doing it since I got it second hand 4 years ago with 40k miles on it. Always thought it was just a noise it made shutting everything down so haven't worried about it as it hasn't caused a problem (I have extended warranty though if it ever does}.
