Mechanical key

Recommended Posts

Hi all

First, Happy New Year.
I was thinking about my previous Lexus (CT200) when I had a completely flat Battery and needed to open the bonnet, but to gain access to the car to use the bonnet catch I had to use the mechanical key, the lock barrel on the ct 200 is in plain sight on the door handle. I was wondering, if this happened on my NX300, where do you insert the mechanical key ? In the manual I found out how to remove the mechanical key from the key fob, but where do you insert this key ( I'm leaving myself open for suggestions here !!)  I have looked through the manual (if its there I can't find it)  It is really only a thought as I had not much to do New years day. But if anybody knows, please tell me.

Thanks for reading

Hi

A good new year to you too. The aperture for the mechanical key is behind the drivers door handle. If you pull the handle as you do to open the door you will see it marked. Hope this answers your query.
