Good afternoon good Lexus folks, I have a query regarding the drivers door window electric controls. My 2007 RX400h SE came back from its MOT just before christmas with the non-driver window control not working from the drivers switch pack, each window works on its own switch still. For the MOT it needed handbrake cables, before I either get cross with the garage or get stuck in with wire chasing, could it be something simple like a dislodged connector from cable adjusting etc? I'm 99% certain the fault occurred after/during the MOT as I noticed it as soon as I got home after picking the car up - I should have phoned the garage but I was due to start a night shift and really couldn't be dealing with it - now that christmas and new year have hapenned etc I could do with getting it sorted (not to mention the other half giving me stick for it 😅).

Thanks,

Tom

So basically what are you saying is : non driver window opens from it's switch but not from driver's side switch ?

1st you wanna try to go on passenger side switch and lower the window, then when you get it up , after the window is closed you keep the switch to up position 3 more seconds.

That should relearn the passenger side window back to comfort mode ECU.

If it doesn't work keep me posted.

I will try to search in RX400 service manual.

+1 on above for the remedy of your ‘problem’. It appears that the mechanics that worked on your car may have ( like is highly Recommend) disconnected one (or both) of the Battery terminals and this has LED to your window system needing to be reset, here is the page from my IS250 manual for the procedure after a Battery disconnect and I will be surprised if it is different for your RX ( same year also )

That's how it is.

I told him how to re-learn each window. I recommend doing the same with each window.

But for that to use the button located on each door.

Do not use the central control located on the driver's door.

100% you will solve the problem.

You must relearn all comfort after the Battery terminal was taken off.

I do it every time when i take off my Battery terminal.
