Engine and trac lights can come on for a number of reasons from not having the fuel cap on tightly to a sensor or mechanical fault. You really need to connect a fault reader to get the specific error code to help narrow down where the fault is.

As it may be something specific or common to the GX I'd recommend you post your question to our US sister site as the GX isn't sold here in the UK so we don't have the specific knowledge you may need.
