Internal rear window cleaning

Recommended Posts

I've always found this awkward as I'm no contortionist, actually the front windscreen cleaning isn't a barrel of laughs either.  Does anyone have a special technique/tool that makes things easier? I normally end up on all fours with my head upside down trying to get in the corners.  I don't mind trying new positions normally but not for the sake of a clean piece of glass..

Had the same problem with the rear screen on my RC.

Solved by buying a micro fibre cloth pad on a handle from Poundland for £1.00! Makes the job so much easier.

Always do mine in the Spring so it's clean until the Autumn, and then the haze that builds up reduces headlight dazzle through the winter. Then do in the Spring again.

Do the other glass monthly.

What helps is good cleaning product, good cloth and then to get to the absolute bottom edges I use plastic body filler spreader.

I use Gyeon glass cleaner, Mr Siga glass cloth. these two combined give a great result.

Nilco from B&Q is the best glass cleaner Ive used so far. However, with glass, its all in the cloths. Microfibers are rubbish for cleaning glass. You need a dedicated glass cloth which can be obtained from plenty of stores like Home Bargains

Fiancé put me onto something called truwash, it’s remarkable for regular cleaning, such as inside the car, around the house, etc. I mocked them for essentially buying deionised water in spray bottles, which is available from most car parts places for 1/10 of the price. As people mentioned as long as a dedicated cloth is used, that is the key, but I typically prefer to use blue roll for glass.
