junglie 2
Hello, Bought a Mk3 GS 300 earlier in the week as a family car / commuter / stop gap. Love it so far. Just put OEM discs and pads on as there was a bad vibration under braking. The ones that came off were nearly new Pagids but apparently the GS is very picky and only likes Lexus parts! Having wheel balance done now and an aircon regas tomorrow. Looking forward to seeing how we get on with it. Dan
The-Acre 2,186
Nice car, the same year as my GS which to this day I ask myself why I sold it!
junglie 2
I might even splash out on a set of floor mats and a boot liner!

Check for the creaky dash issue, most have it but it's fairly easy to rectify. I drove my GS300 on a European trip doing 2.5k miles in 10 days, often averaging high 30's MPG and very comfortable! steve2006 2,107
I was invited by Lexus Derby to the launch of this model and was very impressed with the car, the food and the champagne (I wasn’t driving BTW). Doesn’t seem to be 16 odd years ago.

junglie 2
Brakes and wheel balance done. The chap doing the regas says it is fine for now but gas is escaping from the bottom of the condenser where the rubber / plastic seal goes brittle over time. New condenser required but they look reasonably cheap on a quick online search.
junglie 2
£290 plus VAT to change out condenser and regas. Picks up and drops off too. Does that sound reasonable?
