RX400h driver side mirror folds out all the way when starting engine

Recommended Posts

hi all.

on my RX400h ,  I believe a passerby knocked the mirror over than manually put it back in position :(

now every time i turn the engine on the mirror folds out all the way opening to 180 degrees instead of staying in the normal position. Also if I pull it by hand it looks as it s not in the same position as the passenger mirror. not sure if something broke inside or is fixable

any advice on how to fix this other than just changing the mirror?

thank you

There was a button on my old 400h and if the mirror was knocked, you just folded it into the park position and then cycled them with the button and they clicked into sync. There was no auto function on my car but after you had switched off the car you could release the button and they would open on powerup.
