... still you had an option of choosing "amazing car" called Rodius but went with arguably better looking and more premium Lexus, some people may say you are showing off a little bit ? 😅

SsangYong Rodius - Wikipedia

I did consider them but couldn't find any that cost more than a copy of the Financial Times 🤑

Is that a bad thing?

Very bad, my FT, after having read it has a second purpose, it's a higher class of wrapping paper for my fish and chips! But with the Rodius I struggle to find a first purpose.

Apparently it is a car for people who do not care how it looks from outside, nor cares about oral opinions of other people... I don't know, but at least they say so 😅

I am 60, look like 70 and feel like 80

well, I'm in your middle range and sometimes feel 18 ............... but often a little older and sometimes even 80 ....  whatever that might be like !

I'm wanting to feel 18 all the time tho' .......  maybe the   " wolf in sheep's clothing "   syndrome, a bit like running and performing at full blast .......... and owning a Ls400 for 20+ years ....  and sometimes giving a boy racer the time /shock of his life when he comes up against me at the traffic lights whatever

True, I thought same myself when somebody said that "when driving one can't see the car from outside thus looks of the car does not matter".

Apologies for the delay Linas and perhaps you can help me, but I have been searching high and low for a comment that said, "thus the looks of a car doesn't matter" but have failed miserably. Nearest one I did find which superficially looked a bit like it but wasn't the same said, "It may just be me but I can't see the outside when I am inside driving so for all practical purposes what difference does it make" ......?

You are absolutely right, and I responded saying - "it sells cars", but lets not repeat the same story 🙂

Something that young people will never understand until they get to their advanced years is that in my head I feel 20, my body is knackered and feels like 80, but my actual true age is 63.

This sounds like me too!

Well more than 50 and a little less than 60. Bought my first Lexus when I was 51. Wouldn’t have considered one prior to that age. I was quite taken with a mate’s brand new IS200 company car in 2000 but preferred my company owned A4 at the time. I’ve now owned more Lexus cars than each of Audi, BMW or Jaguar. Great reliability and a good ownership experience keeps me here for the time being. A Lexus always seems to be my 90% car. Love it for 90% of the time and positively hate it for the other 10% of the time. Only visiting a dealership for routine servicing is welcome too.

58 and late for the party.

Started with a Cortina. Moved swiftly on to Rover P6 V8 at Uni....as you do.

25 years in Saabs. Back to a 3500cc, but with two less pistons and twice as many horses. How does that work?
