Hi all I have a lexus is200 with almost 300k on the clock I recently met a block and he suggested to do engine oil flush only because I told him that when my car is driving up a hill it is very sluggish and only does 20k/h which is concerning. I have never done an engine oil flush so need help with some advice.

Should I do my own engine flush or just take it to the mechanics and let him know the situation about what the car is doing

Me... if it's had regular oil changes when the oil is still hot then I wouldn't flush it...

Others may say otherwise?

This. IMHO, at that mileage there can be various culprits for this behavior and I doubt an engine flush will solve the problem. The mechanic will check the spark plugs, coils, cylinder compression, valves condition and clearance, transmission, etc.
