Having read all sorts of conflicting stories from eBay sellers etc, can anyone categorically confirm whether Mk 3 and Mk 2 roof bars are the same fitment, please?

I can find loads of roof bars for Mk3 (2008-15), but virtually none for Mk2 (2003-7), yet other sellers are saying their bars fit Mk2 AND Mk3 (2003-2015).

Has anyone in the UK got a pair for sale, that will definitely fit a 2007 400h?

Thanks

I've got a pair of Volvo branded Thule bars that I used on my 2006 RX400h. Fitted perfectly as they had sprung ends. Similar to these but just older. May be worth searching for Wing Bars second hand.

Hope that helps.

If you are looking for genuine Lexus Cross Bars, you could ask a Lexus Dealer about compatibility but I suspect there is a difference between the earlier cars and the cars from 2009 onwards.  I bought these for my 2015 RX450h and the fitting instructions manual shows 2009 Part number PZ403-K0622-00.  Manual reference AIM 001 259-1 also includes the RX350 but no mention of RX400.

However, if you are happy with aftermarket ones, you could check with Thule who seem to be the most widely used make as example Richard showed.

I think an awful lot of branded roof bars are Thule manufactured. The Volvo/Thule ones I have fitted my XC90, RX and a Skoda Kodiaq we hired last year. Unfortunately they didn't fit the V70 as they weren't wide enough. Bought some cheap standard "square" ones for that job but they were noticeably louder.

These are what fitted my RX.

Thanks for that - they look good.  Don't need anything too fancy, as it's probably only ever going to have a 20kg canoe on them and not even that bothered about them being lockable, as the canoe won't be!
