Catalytic converter question

Hi all, 

I am new to the forum. I recently bought a gen4 lexus rx450h 2016 model. Was wondering if any one can advise if the gen4 models are affected by the catalytic converter theft. My wife has a toyota auris, i ended up getting a catloc installedbon her car. 

After speaking to lexus they are saying that gen4 models are not affected.. Is this true.

Hi Zim. Look in the RX section. There's lots in there on this section. From what I gather it depends where you live. I understand its more active down south than up north.

Not aware of any series IV RXs being affected, and Lexus haven't designed a catloc for this series due to no demand. In theory the newer vehicles aren't a target as the cats aren't worth as much - I guess that remains true whilst there are older more precious ones to steal.
