Rear passenger window unresponsive to driver's controls

Recommended Posts

Offside rear window does not respond to driver's window controls — though it works as expected from the offside rear door control. Does anyone know why this might be, and how to fix?

Ignition on, open window with the door control and continue to hold the button down for a couple of seconds after it's fully open.  Then close it and hold the button up for a couple of seconds after it's closed. Voila...hopefully!

Normally caused by disconnecting the Battery.

+1 on above procedure, need to do this for each window before drivers panel will operate other windows remotely ( also Moonroof  will need resetting if Battery has been disconnected or voltage has dropped below a critical level)

Thanks for this advice chaps. I shall try it right now. Oddly, there seems to have been no impact on the operation of other windows, or of the moonroof. It's possible the techs did not do all the verification checks after the car's shatteringly costly brain transplant last autumn, when the Battery would necessarily have been disconnected for an extended period.
